Preston Grisham is an accomplished technology and public policy professional, with vast experience in government relations, strategic communications, and software engineering. With a diverse background spanning various sectors, Preston currently serves as the head of federal public policy communications at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he leads the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies to advance AWS's policy objectives and foster productive relationships with key stakeholders.

Before joining AWS, Preston spearheaded the establishment and growth of the Technology Association of South Carolina (TechSC), the state's foremost statewide technology organization. As the driving force behind TechSC, he facilitated accelerated growth and innovation within the statewide technology community while effectively representing its interests through unified advocacy.

Prior to his role at TechSC, Preston served as the Senior Manager of Public Policy Communications at the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). Collaborating closely with government affairs teams at the state and federal levels, he played a pivotal role in promoting CompTIA's policy advocacy initiatives and effectively communicating technology policy matters to elected officials and grassroots leaders.

Preston's career trajectory includes a tenure as the Communications Director for Congressman Mike Turner of Ohio, chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces. In this capacity, he skillfully managed all aspects of strategic communications to support Congressman Turner's policy priorities.

In 2010, Preston established and successfully managed Stonewall Strategies, a prominent lobbying and public affairs firm in South Carolina. Representing a diverse range of corporate and association clients throughout the state, the firm excelled in direct lobbying, grassroots issue management, and advocacy campaigns.

Preston's extensive experience in public service commenced with a decade-long tenure on the staff of Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina. During this time, he effectively managed three re-election campaigns and held various positions in the Congressman's official offices.

With an innate passion for technology, Preston is currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, with a specialized focus on cybersecurity. Hands-on coding experience in Objective-C, Swift, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails complement his deep technical knowledge. Notably, he has developed and published several applications on the Apple App Store.
